Why Choose Us?

At either our Tamarac, Fort Lauderdale, or Port Saint Lucie locations we make sure that your injuries are well documented in detail.  The clarity of documentation is critical for personal injury cases. We understand that after an auto accident you may be left without a vehicle and we work hard to provide reliable transportation for our patients to and from the office for scheduled appointments. We will assist you in filling out the necessary paperwork for your time missed at work as well. With over a decade of handling personal injury cases our doctors have the experience needed to determine accurate disability and impairment ratings. You have the right to choose where you would like to treat after a motor vehicle accident. We focus primarily on you getting better throughout the duration of the treatment plan.

What is PIP?

Personal Injury Protection is an extension of car insurance that covers medical expenses. It is often called "no fault" coverage because its inherent comprehensiveness pays out claims regardless of who is at fault in an accident. Here in the state of Florida drivers are required by law to carry minimum of $10,000 in PIP coverage.  If you have a car insurance policy in effect at the time of the accident you should have $10,000 or more available in benefits to use for medical expenses you incur following an accident.

Your Time Is Limited!

In the state of Florida there are only 14 days to seek initial treatment in relation to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. If treatment is initiated after the two weeks the patient forfeits their rights to full PIP benefits that could be applied to medical care. Under FL PIP statue; initial care and services provided within the first 14 days can be provided by a Medical Doctor, Orthopedic, Chiropractor, Dentist, Hospital, or Urgent Care facility.

What is an EMC and Why do I need one?

EMC stands for an emergency medical condition manifesting itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity, which may include moderate/severe pain, such as that the absence of immediate attention would be reasonably expected to result in any of the following:

 - Serious jeopardy to the patient's health

 - Serious impairment to bodily function

 - Serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part

Obtaining an EMC determination allows the patient to be able to receive up to $10,000 which can be applied to services & care in relation to trauma sustained in the accident. Without an EMC or if it is determined by a medical provider that the patient does not have an emergency medical condition PIP benefits will be limited to $2,500.  At South Florida Injury Centers we refer our patients for a Medical Evaluation as well as an Orthopedic Consultation depending on that particular patient's needs.

Listen to your Doctor.

Missing appointments, non-compliance to treatment plans, and non-compliance with referral appointments or diagnostic testing will hurt you in terms of case management. There may also be some underlying problems that need further investigation or co-management. The doctor has your best interest in mind.

Uninsured/Underinsured motorist coverage and Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury.

At our offices we've seen numerous cases involving hit and run or drivers hit by someone whose policy lapsed or who weren't insured at all. UM and BI makes sure you are covered even if the other person isn't. Don't put your health and financial security in the hands of others. Be protected.

Not all records are the same.

At South Florida Injury Centers our doctors have seen thousands of patients and are able to obtain a detailed history during initial consultation and exam. Our notes and correspondence are recorded electronically and can be sent out within 24-48 hours of a request being sent if not on the same day. Each patient has their own electronic digital file that makes for less office clutter, ease of storage, and retrieval of electronic medical records.

Transportation

Our Primary goal at South Florida Injury Centers is to help our patients cope through their stressful situation. Often, after an accident patients are left without transportation. No ride, No problem, is our motto, as we will arrange transportation upon request for you to make your appointments. If your schedule is constantly changing or you do you not know until the day of, NO PROBLEM. We can arrange for transportation during office hours. The patient will be picked-up between 10-20 min after calling us to schedule depending on location in relation to the office.
